Native to Southeast Aisia, the Dendrobium Loddigesii thrive in bright and humid environments at elevations of between 1000 and 1500m with climates that are dry in winter and wet in summer.
Water in the ornings to ensure the plant dries out before the cooler evenings.
Filterd dunlight or direct morning sunlight are reccomended.
Harsh midday sunlight should be avoided.
Ideal temperature ranges from 26 down to 2 degrees celcius.
These orchids need a tempreature drop of between 7 and 10 degrees celcius between day and night time.
Blooming occurs from August Through to October.
The petals are lilac in colour, the sepals are purple, and the lips are reddish orange, however other color variations have been seen.
Size ranges from 5-30 cm .
